SCI Faculty Members’ Project Selected for Social Science Research Under the Defense Education and Civilian University Partnership

March 13, 2023

Associate Professor Yu-Ru Lin’s project “Characterizing and Countering the Normalization of Extremism and Communal Violence in Cyber-Social Space" was selected as one of the six university faculty teams to pursue fundamental social science research through the Defense Education and Civilian University Research (DECUR) Partnership, a program under DoD’s Minerva Research Initiative (Minerva).

Dr. Lin is the project’s principal investigator, working alongside Professor Rebecca Hwa, as well as Profs. Deborah Wheeler and Andrew Miller from the United States Naval Academy as co-principal investigators.

“We're all very excited about this opportunity to build a new research partnership and to contribute to national security-relevant basic social science research,” Dr. Lin said.

Please join us in congratulating Drs. Lin and Hwa on this achievement!
