Welcome to the School of Computing and Information (SCI) at the University of Pittsburgh! We are so excited that you have chosen to pursue a degree here. Below, you will find useful information to help you prepare for your first term. Undergraduate Student Orientation
While you will be working with the SCI Undergraduate advising staff via remote individual advising appointments over the Summer, there will also be an SCI in-person date during welcome week for new Fall 2022 first-year students. This orientation will take place on Friday, August 26th, with student arrival and check-in at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time in the Connolly Ballroom of Alumni Hall.
Graduate Student Orientation
An in-person School-wide orientation will take place on Thursday, August 25th from 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. (lunch included) in the University Club Ballroom B. However, there are also additional orientation sessions hosted by the University and your department (and, if you are an international student, by the Office of International Services).
