Clinical Associate Professor Dmitriy Babichenko (Department of Informatics and Networked Systems) received Pitt Seed funding for his project STEM Through Games as part of the program's 2023-24 cohort.
This project will develop and then pilot an immersive media design and research program for high school students. The program will introduce them to computational thinking, foundations of programming and cross-disciplinary academic STEM research using digital games and immersive technologies.
In its sixth year, Pitt Seed provides internal financial support for projects with potential to impact Pitt’s strategic plan.
