Emily Yarish

Emily Yarish is a certified Epic Systems Analyst at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, a healthcare organization and insurance provider headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA. Her first job out of college was at UPMC in the Information Technology Rotation Program, where recent college graduates rotate through four unique, six-month rotations in various Information Technology teams and lines of business. Emily was fortunate to gain a wide variety of technical and project experience throughout the program in vastly differing areas such as eRecord implementation and design, enterprise architecture, cloud infrastructure, project management, and cybersecurity. In her current role, she is responsible for building the electronic health records used across ambulatory departments at UPMC.


Emily is a 2018 graduate of the School of Computing and Information at Pitt with a BS in Information Science. In 2022, she graduated with her MS in Management Information Systems from the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business. Throughout her undergraduate tenure at Pitt, she was President of the Pitt Football student section, The Panther Pitt. She also was a Recruiting and Player/Personnel Intern at the Pitt Football Office. Emily spends her free time reading and exercising. She is a part-time Group Fitness Instructor at Steel House Cycle in Pittsburgh, PA, and Spin Unlimited in Uniontown, PA.
