In November 2022, ChatGPT, a generative artificial intelligence (AI) software produced by the company OpenAI, was released to the public. Three months later, the University of Pittsburgh’s Center for Teaching and Learning hosted its first event meant to address ChatGPT’s presence in the educational environment.

IS Alumna Published in Frontiers Virtual Reality Journal

Recently, Maria Harrington, PhD (IS ’08) was invited to write a review paper of all of her work and findings over the past fourteen years. The paper, “Virtual Nature Makes Knowledge Beautiful” has been published in Frontiers in Virtual Reality, a premiere international peer-reviewed open access journal.
