MDS Student Success Team and Advising

  • Review and plan for the program's staggered course offering schedule
  • Navigate Pitt resources (the Counseling Center, Disability Resources and Services, the Career Center, etc.)
  • Advocate and build strategies to address challenges

MDS students have several options to seek advising assistance:

  • Consult directly with our resources above to learn information about prerequisites, what courses are offered when, and program policies.
  • Email online-mds-support@pitt.edu with an advising question or request, and this email will be routed to Maria.
  • Schedule an advising appointment by logging in to my.pitt.edu, searching for “Pathways,” and selecting the advising link to browse available advising appointments and set up an online appointment from the dates and times available.   
  • Call the main SCI number – 412-383-4396 – and use the phone menu options to navigate to “advising” and then “MDS.”

Academic Advisement Report

Students can access their Academic Advisement Report (AAR) by logging into the PeopleSoft/HighPoint CX via myPitt portal. Using the left side Menu, select Academics > Academic Advisement Report. You can View PDF to see your completed and in-progress courses and the MDS requirements satisfied and not yet satisfied.
