Mission
To provide underrepresented and under-served students in grades 8–12 with the opportunities, tools, and motivation needed to pursue computer and information science degrees and excel academically, socially, and professionally.
Objectives
- Create a pipeline into CS and IS programs for underrepresented students.
- Enrich the community through education and service-learning projects.
- Provide academic success skills to support the high school to college transition.
- Empower students and parents with tools to gain admission to selective colleges.
TLI High School Academy
ALL students participating in camp must bring their own laptop. They will need to be able to install Java and Python during class. If they do not have a laptop to bring in, please let us know immediately, so that we can try to accommodate you.
Students in this summer high school academy will learn to navigate the world of computer science. Students will be working in Python, Big Data, Mobile Applications, Web Design, and Operating Systems. Students entering grades 8-12 are eligible, no experience necessary.
This year the program will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Transportation
Each student is responsible for transportation to and from the University of Pittsburgh.
