Junyu Liu

Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science

Coming from University of Chicago & Caltech, Junyu Liu joined the Department of Computer Science as an Assistant Professor in the tenure stream in the quantum computing area. He has PhD research experience at the Walter Burke Institute for Theoretical Physics from Caltech, the Institute for Quantum Information and Matter from Caltech, and the University of Chicago as an IBM postdoc fellow with Chicago Quantum Exchange. Dr. Liu is interested in finding useful quantum information science and technologies for real-world applications, including quantum computing, quantum algorithms, quantum network and quantum sensing. His research focuses on quantum computer systems, quantum algorithms, quantum network, quantum sensing, AI for quantum and quantum for AI.
