Dr. Konstantinos Pelechrinis Co-PI to $1.1 million NSF grant project

Dr. Konstantinos Pelechrinis, associate professor with the Department of Informatics and Networked Systems, is a Co-Principal Investigator of "Building a sustainable national network for developing and disseminating Sports Content for Outreach, Research, and Education in data science”. This project recently received a $1.1 million grant from the National Science Foundation. 

Dr. Pelechrinis continues to utilize sports data to increase data fluency, data literacy, and data science competency amongst a wide population that needs a deep understanding of data for impact in government, education, transportation, healthcare, and a myriad of other sectors.
