Brandi L. Belleau
- Director of Academic Records
Brandi began as Director of Academic Records at the School of Computing and Information (SCI) in March 2018. She has a passion for the study of recordkeeping, its functions within businesses, society, and individuals, and the impact of technology on these ever-evolving records landscapes. She has applied this educational interest throughout her tenure at Pitt, launching a higher education career in student recruitment and student services within the University's former School of Information Sciences (2009). Over time, Brandi developed interconnected systems and business procedures for the Student Services office within SIS and SCI, finally formalizing SCI's Academic Records team in 2018.
At the crossroads of numerous School functions and services – where technology, process, and policy intersect – Academic Records is integral to students' entire life cycle, touching each sector from admissions through graduation. As the Director, Brandi leads a team of professionals who continually improve academic support services for the School, including the creation, maintenance, preservation, and integrity of student educational records, course-related data, and information relevant to the institution's policies. She is a proponent of systems thinking: developing new approaches and uses of technology to implement initiatives that bridge Student Services, Academic, Dean's, and centralized administration offices.
